Applicants must have the next Certificates to enter the first course in “Telecommunications”:
Ukrainian Language and Literature.
Since 2011, students of preparatory courses in ITS get 20 bonus points to their certificates.
There are annual “Open Days”, where everyone can communicate with the ITS lecturers, learn history and structure of the institute, features of the educational process. They may look at the class rooms, familiarize with technical equipment of the laboratories to be in touch with future studding process and the level of preparation for it. Professional orientation work is also carried on during enrollment in the ITS Admissions Department.
Studding of professionals is organized in two educational cycles. First cycle of higher education, with a 4-year study period, provides students with higher education of the Bachelor’s degree. Second cycle o provides students with qualification level of “Specialist” (1 year and 6 months) or the Master’s degree (1 year and 10 months).
Bachelor is an academic degree of higher education, which a person gets on the basis of the secondary education. This degree provides basic special knowledge and professional skills of generalized work activities sufficient for tasks and responsibilities of beginner work positions in a certain field.
Specialist is an academic degree of higher education, which a person gets on the basis of the Bachelor’s degree, provides acquiring special knowledge and professional skills of certain work activities sufficient for tasks and responsibilities of beginner work positions in a certain field.
Master is an academic degree of higher education, which a person gets on the basis of the Bachelor’s degree. Program provides special knowledge and professional skills of innovative work activities sufficient for tasks and responsibilities of beginner work positions in a certain field.
Final certification for “Bachelor” and “Specialist” programs includes the defense of a degree project and for “Master” program defense of Master Degree thesis. Suggested topics for getting degrees correspond to requirements of modern trends in telecommunications science.
The program of Master’s degree offers students to get Double Degree diploma in cooperation with the Technical University of Dresden, that operates according to the European program “Distributed Systems Engineering”. Participants are able to obtain the second higher education by dual master program “Engineering distributed systems”. After graduation students get the Master Degree of TUD “Master of Science” and MA of “KPI”, i.e. two Master degrees - Ukrainian and European.
